PRE-ORDER"What makes this book so interesting is the way that Anthony has assembled some very useful, musical yet digestible bits of brush vocabulary. The material progresses in a logical manner and the written examples serve to prepare you with the vocabulary you will need to eventually improvise on your own."

Anthony Stanislavski is a Melbourne-based drummer, educator, and author with a deep passion for brush playing. He has dedicated his career to advancing drumming education, particularly in the art of brushes.
At 18, Anthony joined the Australian Army Band, embarking on a 20-year career that took him across Australia and overseas. He has performed at iconic venues such as the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Tokyo's Budokan. His formal training includes studying under Australia’s most renowned drum educators—Simon Barker, Graham Morgan, Peter Blick, Dave Beck, and Ronny Ferella. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Victorian College of the Arts and performs regularly in jazz, funk, blues, and wedding bands.
Anthony's expertise in brush techniques culminated in the release of Phrasing and Freedom with Brushes (2020), which quickly became an essential resource for drummers worldwide, earning praise from leading figures like Stanton Moore, Carter McLean, and Florian Alexandru-Zorn. He has since led clinics in Australia and the USA, including PASIC 2022, and developed his signature brush practice pad, Brushtracks, with Prologix.
In addition to Phrasing and Freedom with Brushes, Anthony authored Beginner’s Guide to Big Band Drumming (2019).
